THERE can be no gainsaying the incontrovertible fact that, the Chief Executive, President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, has proved himself a worthy Leader, President and Statesman of Sierra Leone, not just of the APC party.
When President Koroma, despite human feelings, as far back as 2002, when he was the leader of the APC party, then in opposition; he was both nationally as well as internationally, reputed to have acquitted and conducted himself with extreme decorum and decency, and was even regarded, as one of not only Sierra Leone’s but also Africa’s most prudent and reputable opposition party gurus/ leaders, for able ability and political sagacity.

ANY veteran political analyst, commentator and futurist, analyzing the utterances of the outgone National Secretary General of the ruling APC party. His Excellency, Mr. Victor Bockarie Foh, in his then capacity as the Electoral Commissioner, at the National Delegates conference/ convention of the party, past Saturday, at the Miatta Conference centre, at Brookfield’s, Freetown, can safely conclude that the National Leader /Chairman of the APC Party, who is also the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, His Excellency, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, should not be seeking or going for a third term as President, which is very much contrary the provisions of the 1991 constitution of Sierra Leone that mandates a period of two terms of five years each, for any National President to hold or wield office.

JUST like the cardinal principles for the safe conduct of democracy is to observe and to obtain FREEDOM OF THE PRESS, the same holds true and worthy of full acceptance, that for Sierra Leoneans to behold or see the success of OPERATION WID, it is an incontrovertible fast, that there has to be seen a STRONG POLITICAL WILL in that direction, which strong political, will, can be very much seen to be absolutely lacking or nonexistent.
The sole and main reason for the woeful failure of OPERTAION WID in the Municipality of FREEDOM, in particular, can only and must only be attributed or ascribed to the willful negligence and thus deliberate failure, of the Sierra Leone Police in particular, the Freetown City Council and the SLRTA, who are the major stakeholders, to live up to their mandate and civic responsibility to ensure that Freetown in particular is clean and free of foul smell stench, squalor and filth.

On Thursday, April 27, 1961, Sierra Leone gained her Independence from the British, our colonial masters, with Sir Milton Margai, as the first Prime Minister.
Up until his demise on Thursday, April 28, 1964, Sierra Leone was struggling to stand on her feet, post independently.
Diamonds, Iron Ore, Rutile, Bauxite, Gold and you name them; mined in this country have not been a blessing unto us.
Sir Albert Margai who succeeded Sir Milton Margai, as Sierra Leone’s second Prime Minister, was short lived as he woefully lost the 1967 General Elections to Mr. Siaka Probyn Stevens in his capacity as the leader of the APC party.

THE village of Yenga in the North-West of Kailahun District, that borders with our sister Republic of Guinea and was occupied by Guinean Troops for years, during and even after the eleven years civil /rebel conflict in Sierra Leone, which rebel war, was brought about by the late Corporal Foday Saybana Sankoh, is now totally and completely FREE of Guinean Troops occupation.
This good news was confirmed to ‘ARIOGBO’ newspaper by Sierra Leone’s Minister of Defence, Major (Rtd.), Paulo Conteh, in an exclusive interview at the Ministry of Defence Headquarters, at Tower Hill, opposite the State House, in Freetown yesterday.

VETRERAN political thinkers, observers, analysts and futurists are absolutely agreeable that like the late Prime Minister Sir .Milton A.S Margai, like also, President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, in respect of their political temperance, moderation and self-control; decorum and decency; morality, principle and etiquette , to say the very least about them.
Sir Dr. Milton A.S Margai was Sierra Leone’s first Prime Minister who gained for us political Independence which is in other words, Political Liberty or Freedom. He was a statesman of repute, courage, vision and commitment to the well being and prosperity of Sierra Leone. Rather unfortunately though for this country, he died on Thursday, April 28, 1964, at the age of 68 years.
The late Sir Milton Margai was not autocratic; was not intolerant and was not arrogant.

THERE can be no gainsaying the incontrovertible fact that ‘OPERTAION WID’, which was launched by the President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, on Saturday, January 5, 2013, in Freetown, is being sabotaged or undermined by some Sierra Leone Police personnel for reasons best known to them only.
While some petty traders can also be seen defying the ban on trading along streets like Siaka Stevens, ECOWAS, Wilberforce, Lightfoot-Boston and Charlotte Street, to name a few, and Kroo Town Road, Pademba Road, Kissy Road, Fourah Bay Road, Regent Road and King Harman Road by their daily and nightly come back to sell their daily and nightly come back to sell their wares on the sidewalks of the above mentioned streets and roads many a time with impunity though.
