Musa Tarawallie, the Minister of Internal Affairs, already stood accused of desperately seeking the Running Mate position for the 2012 election. But several people are of the view that Musa is just the wrong choice for the APC 2012 Running Mate position. Several APC members have told the Ariogbo that if even the APC is going to replace its current Vice President, Sam Sumana, Musa Tarawallie is definitely not an option.

Several people had opined that the sacking of Dennis Sandy could not be unconnected to the dwindling relationship between the APC and the PMDC. But this new appointment from the PMDC has sparked fresh debates. The appointment of Gaojia is in indication that the APC still has some amount of ties with the PMDC, notwithstanding the fact that the PMDC Leader Charles Francis Margai had long declared the APC/PMDC alliance null and void.

Former prisoners advocate for prisoners in Makeni

The ABC Secretariat operatives did not mince their words in condemning the prison officers for these inhuman acts and reminded them that, as a vital institution in the maintenance of justice, they should employ all available means to rebrand their poor public image.       

The Executive Director of ABC Dr. Ivan Agibola Thomas who shared his experience   as a former political prisoner said although prisons are supposed to be corrective and reform centre for prisoners they are not operating as expected in the way and manner they should in Sierra Leone.

Police denounce violence

Speaking to a cross section of journalists at Police Headquarters, George Street in Freetown, ASP Samura  said: “The Police; a force for good would enforce the laws on any  school going pupil who go against laid down rules and regulations.”

ASP Samura maintained that all participating schools should always be in their various school uniforms before going to the National Stadium and that they shall maintain their uniforms at all times. He went further to say that pupils would also be expected to maintain decorum at all times during the sporting exercise.

Six ‘okada’ riders sent to prison

Count one stated that the accused persons were charged for Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, contrary to law. The Particulars of Offence went further to state that the six accused  persons on Saturday 22nd  October this year at Lower  Allen Town, east of Freetown, conspired together with other unknown persons to commit a felony to wit Robbery with Violence

Wilkinson Road Project Full of Lies

Minister Koroma blamed the delay in completing the road work on traffic jam and utility companies including Guma Valley Water Company (GVWC), National Power Authority (NPA) and Sierratel. According to him, the work being undertaken by the aforementioned utility companies, vis-à-vis, transfer of their facilities from the right of way to suitable positions, is serving as a major impediment towards the speedy completion of the road.
